I really don't know what popular culture means to me for sure. Just simply that it is what is "popular" at one point in time. Understanding popular culutre is important for the business enviornment becasue it will help make money for the company.
I chose FaceBook as my artifact. It has become very popular the last couple of years. It is a way of reconnecting with old friends, long lost relaitives, and even finding people with the same interest and beliefs. It also is a way for companies to get their products known about. Everyone has some connections to Facebook, wether they have their own account, or if they know someone who does. Sitting at chemo with my mom, it comes up in conversation atleast 10 times during her four hr treatment.

Traci, I like your artifact it is really interesting and real.Nowadays Facebook occupy a great place in the daily life of everybody.For instance, myself i cannot stay all day long without being connected to Facebook.It is almost 5 years i use it.I am so addicted to facebook.
