The last couple of days I have noticed that many of my Facebook friends have been becoming fans/ joining a group. Any other day I would check into the group and consider doing the same, but this one is different. This group I want no part of and well I try to overlook the fact that my friends do. I do realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I respect that.
The name of this group is “Dear Lord, this year you too my favorite actor, Patrick Swayzie, you took my favorite actress Farah Fawcett, you took my favorite singer Michael Jackson, I just wanted to let you know, my favorite President is Barack Obama, Amen. It may all be in fun, and meant to be funny, but some don’t find it all that funny.
I may not agree with everything the President does, but I don’t think this is the way to get that point across. I honestly believe that you shouldn’t wish death upon anyone. I do realize that there are some expectations to this rule, but not many.
The creator of this group claims that it is not a death wish, and that it is meant to be funny. But, I don’t think he or she would come out and openly admit it is a death wish on a public internet site.
I’m not going to say much more on the issue, because there really are no words. I will still be friends with the ones who joined, but I won’t be any part of this group.
